22 RUE PARIS-HOLLYWOOD SHORT FILM COMPETITION
An international short film competition dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and providing them with a chance to reach U.S. audiences. By showcasing diverse stories, this competition seeks to foster stronger connections and build lasting alliances between countries, while offering filmmakers a unique opportunity to gain access to Hollywood's film industry.
Awards & Prizes
Top 10 Shorts: Premiere in Paris, France.
Top 5 Selection: Red carpet theatrical release in Hollywood, California, for 7 days, becoming Academy Award OSCARS® qualifying.
Top 5 Finalists: Screened in the Academy Award Screening Room, with direct access to OSCARS® voters.
Rules & Terms
Language: All languages accepted please include English subtitles.
Film Completion: The film must have been completed after January 1, 2024.
Runtime: Short films must have a complete runtime of 40 minutes or less.
Student Films: Student films are prohibited.
Category Restrictions: Documentary short films will not be accepted in the live-action category.
Exclusions: The following types of films are excluded from consideration:
Previews and advertising films
Sequences from feature-length films (such as credit sequences)
Unaired episodes of established TV series
Unsolicited TV series pilots
Public Exhibition: A short film qualifying under the public exhibition rule may not be exhibited or distributed publicly in any nontheatrical form until after its qualifying theatrical release. Nontheatrical public exhibition or distribution includes, but is not limited to:
Broadcast and cable television
Pay Per View/Video on Demand (VOD)
DVD distribution
Inflight airline distribution
Internet transmission
